Report: Haniyeh leaves Strip for first time since 2007
Hamas Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh has left the Gaza Strip for a visit in Egypt and Sudan, his office said. This is the first time Haniyeh has left Gaza since Hamas came into power in June 2007.
Hamas sources said that Haniyeh crossed the Egyptian border via Rafah in the early morning hours, and that he is also expected to visit Turkey, Qatar, Tunisia and Bahrain. (AFP)
