Hamas official: We may nominate candidate for presidency
Hamas official Mahmoud al-Zahar said his faction is considering nominating a candidate for Palestinian presidency on its behalf. In an interview with Asharq Al-Awsat newspaper, al-Zahar said that Hamas has the right skills and candidates to lead the Palestinian people.
The official also predicted that Hamas will win a sweeping victory in the upcoming parliamentary elections that will be held in May. (Elior Levy)
