Carla Bruni sends condolences to Tel Aviv hit-and-run victim's mom

The wife of French President Nicolas Sarkozi, Carla Bruni, has sent a condolence letter to the mother of Lee Zeitouni, who was killed in a hit-and-run accident in Tel Aviv recently. The driver escaped to France before he could be prosecuted.

Bruni noted that the French justice system is making efforts to conduct an inquiry into the case, and is in constant communication with the Israeli authorities. The message came in response to a letter that Zeitouni's mother, Kate, sent Bruni a month ago. (Yoav Malka)
