Syria opposition asks Security Council to adopt Arab League plan
The Syrian National Council, which comprises the majority of the opposition to Syrian Presdient Bashar Assad, urged the UN Security Council to adopt a plan put forth by the Arab League aiming to end the regime's crackdown on civilians.
The council claimed that while it is not within the Arab League's means to enforce their plan, it is within the Security Council's power. (AFP)
