Special service held at desecrated NJ shul

Northern New Jersey community, church leaders join Jewish community members to rededicate synagogue, demonstrate 'solidarity against hate'
Associated Press|
An interdenominational service has been held at a Hackensack synagogue that was desecrated last week, the Jewish Federation of Northern New Jersey says.
Community and church leaders joined members of the Jewish community Tuesday night to rededicate Temple Beth-El and demonstrate their "solidarity against hate."
The synagogue's door was spray-painted with a swastika last Wednesday. White supremacist symbolism was also found on the sidewalk.
It was the second hate crime targeting a Bergen County synagogue within a week.
