Yishai: Don't divide Beit Shemesh
Shas chairman Eli Yishai criticized Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's proposal to divide Beith Shemesh into two separate cities.
"There is no place for separation, just as haredi and traditional Jews are not separated in Petah Tikva, Netivot and Haifa and Jews and Arabs are not separated in Lod and Jaffa," said the interior minister. "In Beit Shemesh there is a small group of fanatics. People should not incite against the ultra-Orthodox public, which condemns (the radical elements)." (Kobi Nahshoni)
