Barak: Red line crossed in haredi use of Holocaust symbols
Defense Minister Ehud Barak strongly condemned the use of Holocaust symbols during Saturday evening's ultra-Orthodox protest in Jerusalem, saying that "prisoner uniform and yellow patches with the caption 'Jewish' in German are shocking and horrifying things."
Barak added that "in the use of a yellow patch and small children raising their hands as a sign of surrender a red line has been crossed. The haredi leadership, which is mostly responsible, must not accept this. It must uproot these forbidden acts and make sure they never repeat themselves." (Attila Somfalvi)
