Report: Muslim Brotherhood refuses to recognize Israel
Egypt's Muslim Brotherhood announced that under no circumstances will it recognize the State of Israel, the London-based Al-Hayat newspaper reported. The Islamic movement hinted that it might put Egypt's peace treaty with the Jewish state up to a referendum.
A senior member of the Brotherhood, Rashad al-Bayumi, said in an interview that Israel is "an enemy entity, an exploiting, criminal occupier." (Roi Kais)
