Gaza vicinity communities to get NIS 224M in economic benefits
The government has unanimously approved economic benefits for the Sderot and Gaza vicinity area for 2012, at a total cost of NIS 224 million (about $60 million).
The benefits include a 20% tax credit up to NIS 230,000, a 30% reduction in property tax for housing, NIS 1 million in aid to local authorities to cover expenses stemming from the security-related situation, and psychological and social support for residents suffering from anxiety, mostly children.
