Defense Minister Ehud Barak said he took all measures to implement the recommendations of the State Comptroller report on companies he handed over to his daughters. He noted he accepted the recommendations and criticism.
Speaking at a Knesset State Control Committee meeting he said, "All my actions in relation to the collection of funds and handing over the companies to my daughters were innocent and transparent. I was elected Labor chairman and within days appointed defense minister. I had three business days to shut down five years worth of business activity." (Moran Azulay)
