The Knesset's Constitution, Law and Justice Committee convened Monday to discuss an amendment to the "Bar Association Lawl" enabling members of the bar to elect one representative only to the Judges Selection Committee, instead of two.
The amendment is aimed at altering the power balance at the committee. It will enable coalition representatives at the bar to elect one candidate and opposition members to elect the other. This will prevent a situation where two candidates are elected by the majority. (Moran Azulay)
