Barak: Independence party to endorse 'Grunis bill'
Defense Minister and chairman of the Independence faction said Monday that the faction will endorse the "Grunis bill" but will oppose the Bar Association Law amendment and will work to block it.
The "Grunis bill" cancels the minimal tenure condition for Supreme Court president candidates and will allow Justice Asher Grunis to be appointed president. The "Bar Association bill" enables changing the Bar Association representatives at the Judges Selection Committee. (Moran Azulay)
