Elkin: Judicial Selection Committee bill won't be revised

Coalition Chairman Zeev Elkin (Likud) announced that the Judicial Selection Committee bill will not be revised, and said that he expects the government to vote on the legislation as soon as next week.

The bill proposes to allow the Israeli Bar Association to appoint just one representative to the Judicial Selection Committee, instead of two, as it currently does. All of the Likud factions ministers, who met to discuss the issue earlier, expressed opposition to the bill. (Moran Azulay)
