Deri speaks out against women's exclusion
Former Shas leader Aryeh Deri has denounced the phenomenon of excluding women from the public sphere and has made it clear that his position is that of the sane majority of the haredi population in Israel. He added that violent incidents that have been perpetrated due to the phenomenon "are not in line with the torah."
Deri also addressed reports about his possible return to the political arena and said: "I am past the age of personal aspirations, if I go back to political life it would be to contribute my vast experience." (Boaz Fyler)
