A Palestinian tried to run over a police officer at a roadblock in south Mount Hebron, near the Zif Junction.
Officers opened fire at the vehicle's tires, causing it to stop. The man was detained. It is not clear whether his motive was criminal or nationalistic. (Yair Altman)
