Palestinian source: Hamas, Fatah to free political prisoners
Islamic Jihad spokesman Khalid al-Batash said the Fatah and Hamas factions have reached an agreement to release all of the political prisoners in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, beginning January 16. In addition, al-Batash said the distribution of banned newspapers will be allowed. (Elior Levy)
