The attorney, who resigned from his post as director of the Israel Lands Authority two years ago, told Ynet "Around midnight we heard what we thought were fireworks. We didn't think it had anything to do with us. We would also like to know who could have done this."

On Thursday Former Prime Minister Ehud Olmert and 17 other people, including former Jerusalem Mayor Uri Lupolianski, former Israel Lands Administration director Yaakov Efrati and Olmert's former bureau chief Shula Zaken, were indicted for allegedly giving or receiving bribes to promote various real estate projects, including the Holyland complex in Jerusalem and other projects in Manara and central Israel.

It is suspected that businessman Hillel Cherny, who owned land rights to the Holyland project, bribed a number of state officials, including Olmert, with millions of shekels between the years 1994-2007 in order to promote the housing project.
