Ministers approve bill proposing to ban use of yellow patch in protests

The Ministerial Committee on Legislation has approved a bill proposed by MK Uri Ariel (National Union) banning the use of Nazi labels and symbols such as the yellow patch. According to the bill, one would face up to six months behind bars and a fine of NIS 100,000 ($25,986) if choosing to violate it.

The Justice Ministry has voiced its objection to the bill, claiming it hurts the freedom of expression. (Aviad Clickman)
