Gunmen kill, injure 8 Yemeni intelligence officers

Unidentified gunmen, believed to be militants linked to al Qaeda, attacked a minibus carrying intelligence officers in southern Yemen on Wednesday, killing and wounding eight, a local official and witnesses said.

They said the attack occurred on a main street in the port city of Aden while the security men were heading to work. It was the latest in a series of attacks on security officers in southern Yemen. (Reuters)
