Civil Administration inspectors Thursday overnight demolished 10 structures built in an outpost near Kiryat Arba. Nine of the 10 structures were inhabited.
No unusual events were reported during the eviction of the outpost, and security forces remained deployed in the area to prevent altercations. The illegal outpost of Mitzpe Avichai, located near Hebron, has been demolished by security forces in the past, but residents rebuilt it.
Prior to the eviction, large security forces deployed to the area and blocked the roads leading to the outpost.
Later on Thursday, Mitzpe Avichai residents pleaded with the public to donate funds in order to rebuild the outpost.
Miriam Flaishman, 37, who resides in the outpost along with her husband and seven children, recounted the event: "They arrived in the middle of the night. It was brutal. I woke up after they broke down the door and were already in the living room. The children woke up from their shouts.
"It was the biggest betrayal in the people of Israel, the Torah and the land of Israel ,but we will rebuild and more families will join us, so the settlement will grow and become stronger," she said.
