Shas: Ethnic discrimination alive and kicking

The Shas movement has released a statement addressing the recent dismissal of Excellence Nessuah chief economist Shlomo Maoz over what the company deemed as "racist slurs" directed at Israel's "Ashkenazi elite."

"Unfortunately, ethnic discrimination is still alive and kicking," the statement said. "Shas wasn't surprised by the incident as it has been denouncing discrimination against Mizrahim for years." (Kobi Nahashoni)
