According to IDF Personnel Directorate Chief Brigadier General Orna Barbivai, a third of the IDF's career soldiers are seeking alternative work. She told a Knesset committee that 80% of the career soldiers believe they would receive a higher salary in the private sector. She claimed that the Finance Ministry was to blame for the situation.
