Science and Technology Minister Daniel Hershkowitz claimed that the rabbis' recent calls telling young men not to enlist over women singing at public functions in the IDF "added fire to the flame and indicate a complete educational failure and a take over by the haredi anti-Zionist attitude,"
He added: "The soldiers' wishes to avoid women's singing during cultural evenings must be understood and respected but those who challenge the IDF and distort the values of Judaism cannot be forgiven." (Attila Somfalvi)
