Abbas, Mashaal to meet in Cairo next month

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and Hamas politburo chief Khaled Mashaal will meet in Cairo on February 1 to discuss the results of the meetings between committees handling the implementation of the Palestinian reconciliation agreement.

Mashaal is expected to meet Wednesday evening with senior Fatah official Azzam al-Ahmad, who is in charge of the Palestinian reconciliation issue on behalf of his movement. (Elior Levy)
