Dirani chief interrogator suing State for damages

None

The chief interrogator who questioned Lebanese terrorist Mustafa Dirani has filed a damages claim against the State of Israel and the Defense Ministry. The investigator was dismissed from the army after being accused by Dirani that he sodomized him.

He is seeking NIS 5.5 million in damages. His attorney said that his client "was thrown to the wolves" while a tape showing that a Military Intelligence unit commander threatened Dirani had been concealed for years. The tape was exposed in a news magazine program last month. (Yoav Zitun)
