Israeli shoe factory to close; IDF to purchase footwear from US

The Brill shoe factory is facing closure as Defense Minister Ehud Barak has decided that IDF soldiers' footwear will now be purchased from US providers, Ynet learned Sunday.
The decision was made seeing as the terms of US aid stipulate that the IDF must purchase equipment from the US using parts of the aid money. (Tani Goldstein)
