IDF Personnel Directorate chief Maj.-Gen. Orna Barbibay said Monday that the "challenging security reality forces us to enlist everyone for substantial military service."
Speaking at a Knesset debate on haredi recruitment, Barbibay said, "Being the people's army, data suggesting that one out of four men does not serve in the IDF obligates us to conduct thorough self examination." (Moran Azulay)
