Fischer refutes presidency bid rumors

Governor of the Bank of Israel Stanley Fischer denied reports suggesting that he may seek a presidency bid, saying that "as an economist, I don’t thing that my professional and personal experience necessarily qualified me to be the president of Israel."
The comment was made following reports that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was promoting a bid to that effect. (Avital Lahav)
