Peres lauds EU for oil embargo on Iran

President Shimon Peres welcomed the European Union's decision to issue an oil embargo on Iran and expressed hope that the step will bare fruit.

"The sooner we act, the better chance we have to prevent a much more dangerous situation in the future," he said during a meeting with EU foreign affairs chief Catherine Ashton. (Attila Somfalvi)
