Barak: Tal Law has run its course

Defense Minister Ehud Barak said he intends to ask the government to approve a bill proposing to extend the Tal Law by one year only, which would allow legislators enough time to come up with a new, more relevant law. Barak said that the Tal Law, which gives yeshiva students exemptions from army service, has run its course. (Attila Somfalvi)
