Mubarak trial lawyer: Israel, US shot protesters
A lawyer for Hosni Mubarak's former interior minister says the United States and Israel plotted the killings of Egyptian protesters during the 18-day uprising that toppled the longtime leader.
Lawyer Essam al-Battawi on Thursday also accused security guards at the American University in Cairo of opening fire on protesters. The university's historic main building borders Tahrir Square, which served as the epicenter of the anti-Mubarak revolt. (AP)
