Court: Police can't confiscate film about racist discrimination

The Kiryat Gat Magistrate's Court has issued an injunction against the Kiryat Malachi police's intention to confiscate a student film documenting real estate agents and homeowners' discrimination against members of the Ethiopian community. The film was made by Sapir College students.

The police intended to use the movie as evidence against the individuals who were interviewed in its making, on suspicion of incitement to racism. The Magistrate's Court expressed concern that the film "has caused irreversible damage to the interviewees." (Ilana Curiel)
