Syrian report: Hamas' Mashaal has left Damascus
A diplomatic source and Syrian intelligence sources say Hamas politburo chief Khaled Mashaal has left the movement's headquarters in Damascus. His family moved to Amman about a week ago.
According to the sources, last month Mashaal spent only five days in Syria and was in Qatar, Turkey and Egypt the rest of the time. They added that the Hamas offices in Damascus remained open. (Elior Levy)
