Abbas: Israel to blame for failure of Amman talks

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas blamed Israel for the failure of the negotiations in Amman. "The Israeli side's obstinacy and its refusal to clearly present the security and border issues, as demanded by the representatives of the Quartet, are the reasons for the failure of the talks," Abbas said during a reception held for the Iranian foreign minister in Ramallah.

Abbas stressed that the Palestinian side is committed to a real peace process that is based on establishing a Palestinian state within the 1967 borders. (Elior Levy)
