Iran moves step closer to banning oil sales to EU
An Iranian lawmaker says a parliamentary committee has finalized a bill requiring the government to immediately halt sales of crude oil to Europe in response to the bloc's decision to ban the purchase of Iranian oil.
Nasser Soudani says the energy committee finalized the bill Saturday, and that the full parliament will debate and vote on it on Sunday. Soudani is deputy chairman of the energy committee. His comments were posted on the parliament's website. (AP)
