Syria report: Senior officer, 300 soldiers defect from army

Opposition groups in Syria reported that an officer holding a rank that is equivalent to a brigadier-general has defected from the Syrian army, along with 300 soldiers.

It was also reported that 30 people were killed by security forces in the latest round of violence in Syria. (Roi Kais)
