France to hold additional hearing on Armenian genocide law
Seventy-two French legislators have signed a petition opposing to the Armenian genocide law which will effectively prompt an additional parliament hearing on the matter. Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan welcomed the initiative.
The French parliament passed the bill last week sparking outrage in Turkey which threatened to take steps against France. (AFP)
