Six years after winning the Critics' Award at San Remo, Israeli singer Achinoam Nini (also known as Noa) is returning to the Italian music festival, this time as a guest.
Nini was invited by the festival's organizers to perform the song "Torna a Surriento", a huge hit which was once covered by Elvis Presley. She will take the stage on February 16 during a live broadcast to tens of millions of viewers across Europe.

Achinoam Nini has never been afraid to voice her opinions. In 2011 Speaking Arts conference, she cooperates with Palestinian artists. 'It's hard to connect this way, as politics always gets in the way'
Nini released an album with Neapolitan songs last summer, which was praised by many in Italy. Since then, she has been performing with the Neapolitan Solis string quartet.
"It's a wonderful feeling to return to San Remo," says Nini. "I have taken part in the festival three times, and the first time I arrived as a really young singer.
"This time they decided to honor the great Italian songs which have made it outside Italy. What's funny in my case is that I sing in Italian and my competitor sings in English."
At the end of the month, Nini will embark on a concert tour in France.
"I will soon travel to Rome to meet with (Italian actor) Roberto Benigni," she reveals. "He is a person I'm very fond of and he's making a new film now. I'm hoping to cooperate with him, but I can't commit to anything."
