Defense Ministry set to fine disabled IDF veterans
DAn official Defense Ministry document obtained by Ynet reveals that disabled IDF veterans who use State vehicles as a temporary mode of transportation until they manage to purchase cars adapted to their needs will now have to pay fines if the borrowed vehicles are not returned on time.
The veterans claim this new enforcement is "illegal and inhumane" and added that it would prevent them from living with dignity. Meanwhile, the Defense Ministry stated in response that the new rules referred to "a small number of veterans" who failed to comply with the ministry regulations. (Yoav Zitun)
