Police sappers neutralize shell, expect to find more weapons at site
A shell from the British Mandate era was discovered Saturday morning during construction work at Tel Aviv University.
Additional shells were unearthed at the site about two months ago.
Police sappers, who neutralized the shell, expect to find additional weapons that were apparently planted in the area during the British Mandate era.
A sign at the entrance to the site said an adjacent street and nearby parking lots will remain closed this and the following Saturday from 6 am to 9 pm due to construction work.
