Beinish: Supreme Court president should head Judges Committee

Supreme Court President Dorit Beinish said at a press meeting ahead of her retirement at the end of the month that the Supreme Court President should head the Judges Selection Committee.

"It is very difficult under the current political climate. There are countries where the appointments are political and this is dangerous under Israel's political structure," she said. The committee is currently chaired by Justice Minister Yaakov Ne'eman. (Aviad Glickman)
