Yishai: Contracted workers are held hostage by employers

Interior Minister Eli Yishai addressed the Histadrut labor union's threats of launching a general strike on Wednesday, saying that Shas is working towards puting an end to the employment of contract workers in the public sector. The Histadrut's top grievance is against the unjust terms of employment given to contracted staff.

"The contract workers are held hostage by employers under, unfortunately under the government's approval," Yishai said.  (Moran Azulay)
