An IDF soldier accidently forgot a case containing night vision equipment in a Palestinian shop in Hebron after buying cigarettes in violation of military procedures prohibiting soldiers from shopping in Palestinian stores.
The event took place on Thursday, a mere day after a soldier with the 188th Armored Brigade's 74th Battalion was left behind in a Palestinian village near Ramallah during routine military activity.

Luckily, the store's owner returned the equipment – worth thousands of shekels – to the local District Coordination Office (DCO), which is located in the Judea Spatial Brigade's base, near Hebron.
The IDF is investigating the incident. The soldier is expected to face several charges, including conduct unbecoming a serviceman and the loss of equipment, which the military sees as gravely as losing a weapon.
The IDF Spokesperson’s Unit confirmed that the matter was under investigation.
