Italy recalls ambassador to Syria for 'consultation'
Italy has recalled its ambassador in Damascus for "consultation following the unacceptable violence of the Syrian regime," the Foreign Ministry in Rome stated.
The Ministry stated that the embassy will remain open in order to assist Italian nationals staying in Syria and in order to follow the developments. (AFP)
