Iranian blogger sentenced to 14 years in jail

A dissident Iranian blogger has been ordered flogged and jailed for 14 years by a Tehran court, media rights group Reporters Without Borders said Tuesday.

The revolutionary court delivered the sentence against Mehdi Khazali, editor of a blog called Baran, on Monday, the group said. Khazali was also banned for 10 years from travelling outside of the southwestern city of Borazjan, it added. (Dudi Cohen, AFP)
