Israeli suspected of causing Chile wildfire won't be prosecuted
Rotem Singer, the Israeli tourist arrested on suspicion of starting the fire in Torres del Paine National Park last month, will not be prosecuted. Rotem's mother said: "We are happy he was released. We don't know when he will come home, but his father is with him."
Chilean media reported that according to the settlement deal with Singer, he will pay a fine of five million pesos, and enlist an Israeli organization for the cause of helping restore the park. (Gili Gurel, Gilad Morag)
