Gal Hirsch returning to IDF as Depth Corps deputy commander
IDF Chief of Staff Benny Gantz appointed Brigadier-General Gal Hirsch as the new deputy commander of the Depth Corps. He will serve under Major-General Shai Avital.
Hirsch, who served as a Division commander during the Second Lebanon War retired from the IDF amid fierce criticism over his conduct in relation to the abductions on the Lebanese border. (Yoav Zitun)
