A 19-year-old woman was killed on Friday in a suspected hit-and-run nearYokneam, in northern Israel .
The police suspect that three vehicles were involved in the accident. A police source said that it appears that the car hit the woman near a gas station, then fled the scene.
An investigation has been launched and the police are looking for the drivers.
The gas station's surveillance cameras documented the woman entering and exiting the compound. The station's employees saw her lying on the road and called the police. Magen David Adom emergency services pronounced her dead at the scene.
Highway Police Chief Superintendent Yossi Hatukay said that the cause of the complex accident is still unclear, and efforts are made to locate everyone who was involved.
A special task force was established to investigate the accident and locate the drivers, he added.
