Abbas: Arab League should urge Netanyahu to renew peace talks

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas has called on the Arab League's member nations to urge Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and other leaders to define the terms for the renewal of the Palestinian-Israeli peace talks.

Speaking before the members of the Arab League in Cairo, Abbas said that if Netanyahu does not respond to these pleas, the Palestinians will renew the efforts to "gain complete recognition for a Palestinian state." (Elior Levy)
