Activists: At least 47 killed in Syria violence

Syrian opposition activists said that at least 39 civilians were killed in violence across the country on Sunday. Eight soldiers were also killed in clashes with deserters in the city of Hama.

According to the activists, over 500 people were killed in the city of Homs over the past 10 days. Moreover, the city is experiencing a severe food shortage. (AFP)
